Cancellations and Refunds
CANCELLATIONS
If a registrant is no longer able to attend their session, they need to notify Julia of their cancellation as soon as possible.
If a registrant cancels their registration, they may register for an alternate session, if available. Registrants will be required to pay the minimum deposit for their new session (minimum deposit is $100)
The fees paid toward their cancelled session, less the deposit, can be transferred to their separate camp if the cancellation was received before the posted cancellation deadline.
Cancellation deadline is 30 days prior to the program start date.
The deposit from their original session cannot be transferred, nor refunded.
If a registrant’s spot is being cancelled and another registrant will be going in their place (swap):
The new registrant will need to register for the program and will be required to pay the minimum deposit for their new session.
The fees paid by the cancelling registrant, less the deposit, can be transferred to the remaining balance of the new registrant’s order.
The deposit from the original session cannot be transferred, nor refunded.
REFUNDS
Refunds will be given when:
Wilderness Awakening cancels a program.
A registrant cancels their registration before the posted cancellation deadline.
Cancellation deadline is 30 days prior to the program start date.
Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable ($100).
Refunds will not be given when:
A registrant cancels their registration after the posted cancellation deadline (less than 30 days prior to the program start date).
Refund requests submitted after these deadlines will be considered when a registrant cancels due to illness or family emergency and approved by Wilderness Awakening.
The registrant arrives late, departs early, or does not attend the session. Refunds are not given for sick days.
Refunds will be issued in the same form as they were paid. If a payment was made in cash, refunds will be issued by check.
Refunds can take up to 30 days to process.
INCLEMENT WEATHER
Camp cancellations (single days or sessions) that result from extenuating circumstances (dangerous weather, emergency situations, etc.) will be refunded on a prorated scale. This includes unhealthy air quality (AQI of 151-200), severe thunderstorms, or tornadoes. On days where the forecast predicts temperatures above or in excess of (heat index) 100 degrees we will either offer a shortened camp day to avoid the hottest part of the day or cancel camp for the whole day to help protect the health of campers and our staff. Communications for day-of cancellations will be made via text.
Each of the sites chosen for Day Camps does have a shelter for rain, and we will meet in the case of rainy days!
